The Art Forum staff consists of a Curator and a Program Coordinator & Registrar of the Collection. The Art Forum is directed by Thomas Cummins, Dumbarton Oaks Professor of the History of Pre-Columbian and Colonial Art and Chairman of the Department of the History of Art and Architecture.

Program Coordinator & Registrar of the Collection

Jose Falconi is Curator of the Latino and Latin American Art Forum of the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies at Harvard University since 2000, where he received his Ph.D. in the Department of Romance Languages and Literature.

He has contributed to several Latin American, European and U.S. magazines and journals as writer, editor and photographer. His academic publications include “A Principality of its Own”, edited with Gabriela Rangel (DRCLAS-HUP, 2006) and “The Other Latinos”, edited with Jose Antonio Mazzotti (DRCLAS-HUP, 2007). At Harvard he has curated and organized over fifteen international shows, including “Ad-Usum” by Pedro Reyes (Fall 2006). At the Americas Society, in New York, he has co-curated “Emancipatory Action: Paula Trope and the Meninos do Morrinho” (Spring/Summer 2007).

Since 2007, Marcela coordinates the Art Forum program where she is the Program Coordinator and Registrar for Temporary Exhibitions and Permanent Collection. She received a Master’s degree MLA in Museum Studies from Harvard Extension School.

A native of Chile, Marcela is a licensed architect in Chile, where she earned a B.A and Professional Degree in Architecture from the Universidad Central and is candidate to a B.A in Philosophy from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Before moving to the US she practiced architecture for 5 years in a design firm she co-founded. She has taught Design Studios in several Universities in Chile. After moving to the US, she has worked as Tour guide and Family program assitant at the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA )Boston, where she also completed a one-year internship in the registrar’s office.
